Avril Lavigne's Under My Skin album's lead single "Don't Tell Me" went to #1 in Argentina and Mexico, the top 5 in the UK and Canada, and the top 10 in Australia and Brazil.

"My Happy Ending" went to #1 in Mexico and it reached the top 10 in the United States making it Avril Lavigne 3rd-biggest hit there, but 3rd single "Nobody's Home" did not make the top forty in the United State, and it only went to #1 in Mexico and Argentina.

The fourth single from Under My Skin album, "He Wasn't", reached top 40 positions in the UK and Australia, and was not released in the U.S. "Fall to Pieces" was released as the final single from the album, but did not do as well as previous singles.

Avril Lavigne's 2nd studio album, Under My Skin, was released on May 25, 2004, debuting at #1 in several countries, including Australia, Canada, Japan, U.K., and U.S..

Avril Lavigne wrote most of the album's tracks with Canadian singer-songwriter Chantal Kreviazuk. Kreviazuk's husband, Our Lady Peace front man Raine Maida, co-produced the album with Butch Walker and Don Gilmore.

Avril Lavigne went on a "Live and by Surprise" twenty-one city mall-tour in the U.S. and Canada, starting on March 4, 2004, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to promote Under My Skin.

Each performance of Avril Lavigne consisted of a short live acoustic set of songs from the new album. Avril Lavigne was accompanied by her guitarist, Evan Taubenfeld.

AVRIL DENIES LIL WAYNE’S COLLABORATION

Avril Lavigne hasn’t collaborated with Lil Wayne, contrary to reports circulating. Several sites were talking about a duet between the punk princess and the New Orleans rapper but a spokesperson for the Canadian denied the collaboration. “Avril did not collaborate with Lil Wayne,” her label representative told The Canadian Press.

Avril Lavigne has been posing to promote the new collection of her clothing label Abbey Dawn. The ‘Girlfriend’ singer was photographed in several ensembles with pink as the remarkable color. In one shoot, she donned fishnet tights, a beehive hair-do and pink high heels. Some fashion critics have already called Avril’s looks as a disaster. The collection will be sold in Kohls stores.
