Celebrities and Their Dogs

I thought it would be fun to write about some dogs that are owned by famous movie stars, but I found out there are lots of celebrities who have dogs, and I couldn't write about them all.  So I chose a few random ones, and maybe another day I will choose a few more to write about.  Sadly, I didn't find any celebrities who have basenjis -- or at least I didn't find any yet -- so I have been forced to write about other kinds of dogs.

Okay, so this first famous star is Ben Affleck, and he has something like five dogs.  And the reason he has so many dogs is because when he was a kid, his mom wouldn't let him have a dog.  He asked his mom if he could have a dog, but she didn't think he would be good at taking care of a dog, so she told him that he had to go out every day for a month and walk an imaginary dog.  So he went out and did that for three weeks, but then he got tired of doing it, so he didn't finish the month, and he didn't get a dog.  But now that he's all grown up, he can have as many dogs as he wants.

This is kind of like what happened to Mom, because when she was a kid, she was not allowed to have a dog either, but now she has four, just to make up for all that dog-owning stuff she missed out on before.

Here's Jennifer Aniston with her dog Norman, who is a corgi-terrier mix.  Ms. Aniston and Norman like to go walking on the beach at Malibu, which is a place in California where lots of rich, famous people live.

After a while, Norman got a sister named Dolly, so Ms. Aniston would take both her dogs out walking.

And sometimes she posed for magazines with one of her dogs.  Here she is with Norman.  I think he's pretty cute.  And well, his mom is pretty cute, too!

This is Eva Longoria Parker with her Maltese, whose name is Jinxy.  Ms. Parker likes to keep Jinxy's fur really, really clean and pretty, so he got named Hollywood's Best Groomed Pet.

We watch Eva Longoria Parker every Sunday night on Desperate Housewives.  She is very pretty, and she seems like a nice person, especially since she has a dog.  Also she has the same first name as my mom.

And guess what!  She even picks up after her dog, so we know that she is a responsible pet owner.

Adam Sandler likes English bulldogs, and the ones he has (or had) are:  Meatball, Matzoball, and Babu.  Here's a picture of Mr. Sandler with Meatball.

One time when he was on TV, he interviewed his own dog.  I think that's pretty funny!

If you go to Mr. Sandler's website, you can see lots of videos he made of his dogs.  They are fun to watch, and I think the fact he made them means he really loves his dogs!

Anyway, that's all the celebrities I'm going to talk about today, but I have some left over to talk about another day.  Like for instance, did you know that Oprah Winfrey was once voted the Best Celebrity Dog Owner, and that Britney Spears was voted the worst?  One of these days, I will tell you all the details!
