The "Rules of Engagement" actress takes great pride in staying in shape. When not busy shooting her TV show or taking care of her 3-year-old daughter, Megyn likes to workout. "I do triathlons, so, during my race season, I'm pretty much running, swimming and/or biking every day," reveals Megyn to Healthy Hollywood.
That's right she's an accomplished athlete even taking a top prize at the 2010 Nautica Malibu Triathlon. Just like other working moms, she reveals to Healthy Hollywood her biggest challenge is finding the time to exercise. "There just aren't enough hours in the day for me to do all the things I want and need to do. I force myself to get up an hour before I want to, so I can fit my workout in at the beginning of each day. That way, no matter how crazy my day gets, I know I've done something loving and healthy for myself."
Megyn, 40, also makes sure to never get lax about her routine. "There are a zillion exercise programs out there, and if you're consistent about ANY of them, you'll see results."
Of course, the health-conscious actress is also big on eating well. "I eat a vegetarian diet, but I HAVE TO keep it fun and interesting. I don't like being bored with my food, so I'm constantly exploring different cooking styles and traditions to incorporate into my own meals."
Finally, Megyn shares with Healthy Hollywood her 3 rules to taking care of herself.
1. Make one area of your house YOURS even if it's only your bathroom or your bedroom closet or a little corner of the utility room make it a mini-sanctuary for yourself, with your favorite candles, books, colors, music etc. Create a space that's sacred and yours alone.
2. Buy yourself a beautiful pair of pajamas silk, preferably. Choose a set that's girly and gorgeous, and makes you feel pretty.
3. Banish the mean, self-deprecating voice from your head. Name him and call him out when he starts talking!
